21st,September, a two-way ship suddenly occured the fuel oil spill at No.4 berth in Zhoushan Majishan Port, the cleaning

vessels”Chang Hai No.1”,”Hai Xun0743”and two auxiliary ships for deploy and control the oil containment boom immediately rush

to the scene.It was Zhoushan Shengsi Marine Department organize Baoshan Iron & Steel Transportation Department carry out

the socialization oil spill response exercise in Majishan port water area.

At 14:30, the oil spill response exercise officially started. The exercise simulates a two way ship”Xinwu No.11”suddenly occured

fuel oil spill during work at No.4 berth, after Shengsi marine department receive the call then immediately report to Zhoushan

Oil Spill Emergency Center. The Oil Spill Emergency Center rapidly instruct Majishan harbour district assemble oil spill response

products from the oil spill response equipments warehouse transfer to dock, and assign “Hai Xun0743”rush to the scene for

commanding and coordinating.

At 14:53,oil spill response operators start to lifting and debugging for the large oil spill response equipments like Oil Skimmer

etc.At 15:20, cleaning vessel”Chang Hai No.1”and other two auxiliary ships for deploy and control the oil containment boom

rush to the accidental water area to contain the spilled oil and start to use the oil spill response equipments. Finally, oil spilled

on the sea was successfully removed under the multilateral efforts.

The exercise takes One hour from emergency response to come into use the oil spill cleaning equipments, every departments

effectively to response and use the equipments to reach the purpose of this exercise. Meanwhile, it is good for improve the

operation ability and the marine oil spill disposable response ability of Shengsi socialization emergency response team.
