The "6•5" Environment Day was passed recently. During the environment day, 

Nanjiang Maritime Bureau, Xingang Maritime Bureau, Dagukou Maritime Bureau, 

Beijiang Maritime Bureau, Haihe Maritime Bureau and Dongjiang Maritime Bureau 

held the theme of environmental day propaganda and practical activities in their 

respective jurisdictions. Through marine rescue drills, ship special inspections,

marine oil spill emergency response equipment training by using oil absorbent

pads and oil booms, and promotion of marine environmental protection to

enterprises, etc. It was purposed to promote marine environmental protection 

and marine traffic safety. Next, the maritime department will also encrypt the 

cruise frequencies during the “safety production month” and carry out special 

inspections of ships to prevent and control air pollution, and to ensure the safety

of maritime traffic and purify the marine environment.
