The GanKeng river comes to be “black river” from a clearly river suddenly last night, after the emergency dispose of

Oil Absorbent Mats, GanKeng river becomes whiteness. So the reason was that somebody secretly pour the waste heavy

engine oil into the Gankeng river from Jihe expressway, the scope of flow through was about 2.5km. Fortunately, the relevant

departments set up 6 barriers for prevent the oil pollution and use Oil Absorbent Boom, Oil Spill Containment Barrier and

Oil Absorbent Pad to clean up the river, the oil pollution haven’t been into the Gankeng reservoir.

Until16pm of 15th,March, oil pollution being controlled already, the surplus oil pollution was cleaning. Long gang environmental

protection water authority already arranged staffs and professional authorities to dispose the surplus oil pollution, contaminated

soil and river sediment, and continuous monitoring the water quality. Now, Long gang police already investigated the issue of

illegality pour the engine oil.
