In order to improve the crisis dispose capacity for the accidental oil spillage,to improve the team construction of the port

emergency pollution prevention.3rd,November of 2015, Yu Huai Marine Department organized the Marine Oil Spill Crisis Response

Exercise for Da Mai Yun harbour district.

14:00pm, with the order by the chief of training exercises,the marine oil spill crisis response exercise officially kicked off. The

exercise for simulating when ships ready for bunkering operation job, crashed with another ship and leads to 5tons 380 type

heavy fuel oil leaking into the sea. The vessels immediately launched the<Vessel Oil Spill Response Plan>, reported the accident

to the maritime organization and inform the cleaning organization to carry out the cleaning up action.  After Taizhou Oil Spill

Response Center received the report, ask Yuhuai marine department carry out  investigation of the accident to the site.

Yuhuai Marine department immediately start the emergency procedures after received the order and ask for support from

society emergency power. 15:30pm, completed the oil spill containment and clean up, the exercise finished completely.

More than 10 organizations participated in this exercise,dispatch 97 exercise person and 15 vessels, use 2 hours to use oil

containment boom, oil trawl,oil skimmer and floating oil bladder etc oil spill response equipments. This exercise concerned

responded rapidly,carried out effective measures, made timely decisions, overall inspect the operating and use proficiency for

professional cleaning up companies and port industries, improved reaction speed for oil spill response dispose in area.

Next step, Tai zhou Yuhuai Marine Department will continue to insist the policy of “Prevention first, Safety first”,strength the

vessels oil spill response exercise, take exercise for the oil spill response team, improve the actual combat of oil spill response,

protect the port water are environment, maintain the safety trend for the water area.
