Floating Cable Trash Barriers are composed of HDPE floats connected with stainless steel wire ropes with a diameter of 16mm in between to increase tensile strength and for connection purposes.These floating barrier for trash feature a top flotation device and a bottom permeable net allowing it to contain materials both above and below the surface.

Hydroelectric power plants often rely on floating debris barrier as part of their debris mitigation strategy and a first line of defense.
