On August 13th, the 2018 Water Traffic Emergency Rescue and Pollution Prevention Drill

was held was in Tianma Island Scenic Spot (Duoshan Reservoir),Junan, which was jointly 

organized by Linyi City Local Maritime Bureau and Junan County People's Government,

jointly co-organized by Junan County Transportation Bureau and Tianma Island Scenic Spot.

The drill was consisted of three parts: desktop deduction, on-site drill, and evaluation revision.

Prior to this, the County Transportation Bureau has organized personnel from the Maritime 

Department and the Tianma Island Scenic Area to conduct desktop deductions on this exercise 

plan, ensuring the smooth flow of information channels and emergency materials and equipment

for all departments of emergency rescue. Today's on-site drill was conducted. The on-site drill 

was divided into three subjects: rescue drowning personnel, ship oil spill recovery by deploying 

oil booms and using oil absorbent pads, ship fire fighting and passenger evacuation, which was

lasted 90 minutes. After the onsite drill was completed, the Municipal Maritime Bureau organized

the heads of the maritime departments of the counties and districts and the emergency management

personnel of the water transport companies such as Tianma Island to summarize and evaluate the 

effects of the drills, and revised the emergency plans in time for the problems found during the drills.

The drill was a complete success and basically achieved the expected purpose. It not only implemented 

national spirit of the provincial and municipal water traffic safety work instructions, but also improved the 

city's water traffic emergency rescue plan and improved the water emergency rescue capability. It marks 

a new level of safe production level and emergency rescue capability for waterway transportation in our city.
