On October 27, according to the news from Hefei Luyang District, 

since October 15, the Luzhou Park Management Office has carried 

out dredging work in the 2.5-kilometer-long river channel of the 

Silihe River (North Erhuan Road to Linquan Road). It was purposed 

to further repair the ecological environment of the Sili River, which

is expected to end before the end of the year.

The person in charge of the Luzhou Park Management Office

introduced that the total amount of dredging earthworks was 

about 50,000 cubic meters. It was deployed silt curtains for

controlling the sludge and then used dredger for cleaning the sludge. 

The cleaned sludge will be dried first, and then used as a fertilizer 

soil to enhance the green soil. It is believed that the water quality 

of the Sili River will be further improved after the sludge is removed.

It is reported that since the Hefei Luzhou Park Management Office 

took over the Silihe Ecological Park in 2017, the management office

arranged three cleaning vessels to clean the floating objects on the

banks of the Sili River and clean the green areas on both sides of the river.
