On the 7th of this month, Vice Governor Fei Gaoyun came to the city to see the progress 

of the ecological dredging and retreating of the lake project in Changdanghu Lake. Deputy 

Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Secretary of the Political and Legal Committee 

Cai Jun and Vice Mayor Xu Wei accompanied the investigation.

Fei Gaoyun and his entourage inspected the ecological dredging of Changdanghu West 

Road and see the progress of the rectification work. During the “Thirteenth Five-Year 

Plan” period, the Changdanghu Lake Water Conservancy System and the comprehensive 

ecological environment management project with a total investment of 9.3 billion yuan

were launched. The main projects include the embankment reaching the standard, 

retreating to the lake, returning to the lake, ecological dredging by using silt curtains, 

integrated river channel and renovation and ecological restoration of the lakeshore line. 

At present, most of the projects have progressed more than half. The construction of 

the flood control embankment in Huxi and Hubei has been completed for 32 kilometers. 

The project of retreating to the lake has completed 10 million cubic meters of earthwork 

excavation, expanding the water surface by 5 square kilometers, and the volume of 

dredging soil has reached more than 2 million cubic meters.

Fei Gaoyun fully affirmed the rectification work of the city's Changdanghu Lake, and asked

all levels and departments to further raise awareness, implement responsibilities, improve 

institutional mechanisms, strengthen ecological governance, promote long-term management,

ensure the progress of various projects, and realize the long clear of the river.
