In order to implement the theme of “anti-risk, hidden dangers, and accidents”, further strengthen 

the emergency management of safety production in our province and test the ability of government 

and enterprises to cope with production safety accidents. The Provincial Government Security 

Committee held a 2019 Fujian Water rescue comprehensive emergency drill in Taining County, 

Sanming City.

The drill was simulated two cruise ships collision during the navigation in the Dajin Lake waters of 

Taining. A ship suddenly fired, caused the main engine to stall and lost control, the hull was gradually

tilted, and there was fuel leakage polluting the waters. Some tourists were injured and some tourists 

fell into the water, and their lives were threatened.

The drill was included accident information reporting, emergency command response, rescue of drowning

personnel, evacuation of cruisers, emergency transportation of casualties, fire fighting of cruise ships, 

control and disposal of leakage fuel pollution by using oil booms and oil absorbent pads, interconnection 

and protection of emergency command communications, and release of public opinion information these 

subjects.
