In order to test and improve ship shore and water accident emergency rescue, anti-pollution 

emergency disposal and water emergency information support capabilities, at 9:00 am on 

September 10, 2019 Fuzhou City river water traffic emergency rescue drill was held in the 

waters between the Huai'an Bridge and Hongshan Bridges. The drill was hosted by Fuzhou 

Municipal Transportation Bureau, undertaken by Fuzhou Local Maritime Bureau, Fuzhou 

Rescue Base of Donghai Rescue Bureau, Fuzhou Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement 

Detachment, Fujian Shuguang Rescue Center, Fujian Bafang Maritime Passenger Transport Co., 

Ltd. And Fuzhou Haizhisheng Trade Co., Ltd. co-organized the drill.

A total of 136 people participated in the on-site drill. The drill was dispatched a total of 7 

maritime boats and professional rescue boats, 3 drones, 1 floating rescue remote wing, 7 

assault boats, 1 amphibious hovercraft, 4 maritime law enforcement vehicles and ambulances. 

They adopted the actual combat mode, through the drone search, high-pressure water gun 

fire extinguishing, personnel search and rescue, anti oil pollution, emergency towing and other 

subjects, the participating forces cooperated with each other to extinguish the ship fire 

within one hour, they successfully rescued the people in distress and completed the clean-up 

of pollutants by using oil booms and oil absorbent pads. Finally the out of control ship was 

safely out of danger.
