A few days ago, the Provincial Local Maritime Development Center and the Municipal 

Transportation Bureau jointly launched the 2019 Nanping City water transportation

comprehensive emergency drill in the waters between Dazhou Island and Yangkeng 

Bridge in Yanping District. The subjects were including evacuation and transfer of 

personnel, search and rescue of drowning personnel, prevention of ship drifting, fire 

fighting and fire prevention and pollution prevention of ships by deploying oil booms 

and oil absorbent pads. It was tested the water emergency response and rescue 

abilities of local maritime management personnel and water transportation practitioners.
