On April 28, Xianghe County held the launch ceremony of the North Canal navigation dredging project. 

With the salute firing, dredging dredgers slowly launched, engineering vehicles whistle started to go 

to the project site, the tourism navigation work of the Xianghe section of North Canal the entered 

a new stage.

For thousands of years, the people of Xianghe have survived and proliferated based on the canal, 

forming a unique culture of the North Canal. The Xianghe County Party Committee and County 

Government listed the North Canal Tourism Navigation as the "No. 1 Project", we will take the 

whole county ’s power, accelerate the whole line of dredging, accelerate the implementation 

of bridge and culvert construction projects,It will dispatched the large-scale engineering ship 

with silt curtains and excavators for waterway dredging, and it need ensure that navigation is 

achieved by the end of June 2021, and strive to create a prominent model of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development and the grand canal protection demonstration model.
