The drill was simulated during the loading and unloading operations of the 30,000-ton 

oil terminal of the Maoming Petrochemical Port Division. The damage of the ship's cargo 

main line flange and the valve of the oil delivery arm caused an oil spill accident. The oil 

leaked contaminated the frontal waters of the terminal, then it cautiously catch fire.

After the start of the drill, the personnel on duty at the Shuidong Maritime Department 

immediately started the emergency plan and reported it to the command center of 

Maoming Maritime Bureau in time. The maritime law enforcement personnel carried 

out emergency operations in two ways. They took the speedboat "15388" all the 

way to the front of the 30,000-ton wharf for coordinated on-site action coordination, 

and the other way took the "Sea Patrol 1567" to direct the marine oil spill emergency 

operations by using oil booms and oil absorbent pads. During the exercise, the fire 

fighting tugs of the Maoming Petrochemical Port Branch were all in place to 

participate in the on-site simulation exercise, and the oil spill emergency 

operations were carried out in an orderly manner according to the exercise plan. 

Finally it received good training results and greatly improved the ability of fire safety 

and emergency rescue.
