This drill focused on ship collision accidents and ship pollutants disposal. A simulated ship 

collision accident occurred in the Jinfeng section of Zhangjiagang Xishiyiwei line. One of 

the tank ships was damaged, the ballast tank was flooded, and the ship’s domestic 

sewage was possible. Then caused water pollution. After receiving the police, the 

Zhangjiagang Local Maritime Department immediately activated the emergency 

plan for the water traffic accident, and made an emergency report to the superior. 

At the same time, it ordered the Jinfeng Maritime Office to rush to the scene of 

the accident for emergency treatment and notified the Shiyiwei Gate to temporarily 

close the gate.

The sea cruiser arrived at the scene of the incident and immediately conducted 

a preliminary understanding of the ship’s distress situation and responded to 

the on-site commander to apply for escort to the nearest dock. After docking

at the designated pier, Suhaixun 0583 ship used a pump to pump the 

pressurized water tank of the ship, and Suhaixun 0579 ship carried out 

temporary water traffic control on the accident site. During the rescue 

process, the mariners set up oil absorbent booms to prevent sewage 

from overflowing, and performed pumping operations on the sewage 

flange of the ship, and the mobile domestic sewage collection truck 

carried out emergency collection. Due to the timely rescue, the ship 

was out of danger, the water quality was not polluted, and the 

emergency response disposal of water traffic accidents was 

successfully completed.
