In Fengtai County, the spring rains fell. At the river dredging construction site in the Yangcun town 

section of the Xifei River, which "diverts the river to the Huaihe River", dozens of workers are braving

the rain and taking boats to connect and adjust the silt pipelines and silt curtains on the river to 

carry out dredging operations.

The silt pipe with the diameter of its mouth like a strong man's waist floated on the river course for 

hundreds of meters, surrounded by an orange floating ring. They are connected to a dredging boat 

at one end and thrown in a large cofferdam on the outside of the river embankment. The roar of 

ships, the sound of running water, and the roar of excavators resounded across the river.

"The dredgers have strong power and large suction. They can wring the river bed and pump the 

silt and weeds underneath mixed with the river water into the cofferdam thousands of meters 

away." said the worker who was laying pipelines by the river. "After the muddy water is pumped 

into the cofferdam, the river flows back to the river course, and the silt remains in the weir, so as 

to achieve the purpose of rapid silt dredging."
