Tai'an City Port and Shipping Center of the Transportation Bureau successfully held 2021 city's waterway 

traffic comprehensive emergency drill at the wharf of the second bid section of the Beijing-Hangzhou 

Canal Daqinghe Waterway Project.

Four subjects were set up for this drill, including emergency drill for personnel falling into the water, 

emergency drill for ship fire fighting, emergency drill for ship oil spill disposal, and emergency drill 

for flood prevention and typhoon prevention. A total of 7 ships of various kinds, 100 meters of 

oil booms, 50pcs of oil absorbent pads, 100 emergency sandbags, 3 construction machines, 200 

square meters of geotextiles were used and  and about 60 drill personnel were dispatched. During 

the whole exercise, the participating units were well-organized, responded to each other, commanded 

efficient,and handled quickly, and all links were tightly connected. The emergency command, 

information report, team mobilization, professional handling and other key links were strengthened, 

and the emergency command mechanism was further adapted. The flood prevention emergency 

preparedness of water transportation projects under construction has been improved, emergency 

rescue forces have been exercised,.It fully demonstrated the waterway transportation style that 

can be drawn and rushed at the critical moment, they are always in the state, and ready to 

fight at any time.
