The Danjiangkou Waterway Transportation Comprehensive Law Enforcement Brigade organized 

the Danjiangkou Hydropower Plant of Hanjiang Water Conservancy and Hydropower (Group) Co.,

Ltd. to carry out a ship pollution emergency disposal drill.

The drill was simulated the sudden oil spill of the "Zhongxian Shuiyuan" ship. The oil spilled onto 

the deck and flowed into the river. The ship immediately reported the oil spill to the company. 

After receiving the report, the Danjiangkou Hydropower Plant quickly reported to the Municipal 

Waterway Transportation Comprehensive Law Enforcement Brigade, requested support to 

eliminate the hidden dangers of oil pollution in the waters. After receiving the call for help,the 

Municipal Waterway Transportation Comprehensive Law Enforcement Brigade immediately 

activated the emergency plan and organized the Municipal Port Development Co., Ltd. 

emergency rescue team to drive the "E’dan Clean No. 1" pollutant recovery vessel to 

promptly proceed for disposal.

During the drill, law enforcement officers organized personnel to deploy oil booms and put 

in oil absorbent pads to prevent the spread of oil pollution on the water surface and eliminate 

oil pollution on the water surface; at the same time, the "E’dan Clean No. 1" pollutant recovery 

vessel was used to receive the oil pollution stored on the "Zhongxian Shuiyuan" ship , and 

arranged personnel to find the oil spill point immediately, effectively blocked it, and eliminated

the hidden danger of oil spill.

This drill has fast response speed and effective measures. The whole process is orderly, busy 

and not chaotic.It was comprehensively tested the proficiency in the use and operations of 

pollution prevention equipment, improved the response speed of oil spill emergency response

in the jurisdiction, and the expected results have been achieved.
