On September 27, the Longtan District Transportation Bureau led the organization of water pollution 

prevention and water emergency rescue drill at Nanlan Ferry, Jinzhu Town. Longtan District Emergency 

Management Bureau, Longtan District Housing and Construction Bureau, Municipal Ecological 

Environment Longtan Branch, and Municipal Transportation The Water Management Brigade of the 

Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement Detachment, Wulajie Town Government, Jinzhu 

Town Government and other relevant departments participated in the drill.

The drill was included two subjects: water pollution prevention emergency drill and personnel water 

rescue emergency drill. The water pollution prevention emergency drill simulated the sudden situation 

of pollution caused by the drift of the upstream oily sewage surface to the Nanlan Ferry. After the 

accident, various departments performed their duties and cooperated with each other to orderly 

implement a series of emergency rescue measures such as water management, environmental 

testing, hazardous waste treatment, and information collection, and actively complete emergency 

rescue and restore navigation in the waters. It was used oil booms and oil absorbent pads for 

oil pollution control and absorbing. The personnel water rescue drill was simulated the sudden 

situation of someone accidentally falling into the water near the Nanlan Ferry. The rescuers 

were rescued ashore by throwing lifebuoy rescue, rope-throwing rescue, positioning diving,

drowning first aid and other measures, finally,they rescued the overboarding people and 

avoided casualties.
