On the moring of June 7, Jiayu Port Shijiuditou Port Area successfully held ship oil spill emergency drill.

This drill was simulated cargo ship (Wanfuyang 1985) collided with the adjacent ship at the berth of the 

terminal No. 4, causing the oil spill and they immediately reported to the port, maritime and terminal. After

received the report, the County Port Navigation Maritime Bureau, Wuhan Xianning Maritime Department

launched the emergency plan for port and ship water pollution accidents respectively, dispatched “E
sea patrol 0508” ship and “sea patrol 12315” ship to the scene to implement traffic control, command 

coordination and rescue. Jiatong Logistics Terminal immediately stopped operations according to the 

requirements of the plan, and started the port terminal rescue operation within 2 minutes. After 10 

minutes, with the assistance of the “E sea patrol 0508” boat, 300 meters from the downstream of the

oil spill was deployed. The water surfaces of the U-type emergency oil booms have been deployed 

to control the danger of oil spillage. The dock boat is quickly using oil-absorbent pads and buckets

to recover and clean up the oil spills. Accident investigation was also carried out at the same time.

This is a five-in-one anti-pollution emergency joint drill for port and shipping, maritime, public security,

ports and ships. It has improved the emergency response awareness of employees, realized resource

sharing in the port area, and improved the organization and coordination of port water pollution accidents.
